We are a company founded since 1994, under the name of ATC Mexicana.
On January 1, 2003, Mitsui Chemicals established Advanced Composites Inc. (known as ACP) through the merger of two large companies focused on TPO composites: C & C Tech in Sidney, Ohio, and ATC Inc. in Nashville, Tennessee.
Advanced Composites is a North American joint venture between four entities: Mitsui Chemicals, Prime Polymer and Mitsui and Company. Our parent company, Mitsui Chemicals, holds a majority interest in the company. Advanced Composites draws on the combined expertise of its four shareholding entities to bring to the automotive industry, market-leading technologies in PP and TPO Composites.
Advanced Composites is the leading supplier of TPOs (thermoplastic olefins) and polypropylene composites to the automotive industry in North America. Our product line consists of proprietary formulations designed to meet specific OEM applications. Our customers include all domestic and transplant OEM’s as well as their major T1 and T2 suppliers.
With products ranging from super-ductile materials needed for interior trim, side and airbag (SAB) and highly engineered TPO composite applications needed for scratch-resistant, color-molded instrument panels, to composites designed for exterior, bumper, fascia and body-side moldings, Advanced Composites develops products and processes to meet the most challenging automotive applications.
In order to offer industry-leading technologies, Advanced Composites contributes extensive resources to product research and development. Our constant goal is to make products and technical service available to our customers, which together reduce their overall costs and improve the quality of their products.
